ABOUT EMMA

BSc Human Kinetics,
Minor Nutritional and Nutraceutical Sciences

I started lifting weights when I was 18 years old. My inability to perform a single pull-up drove me to become better. After lots of hard work and dedication, I was able to perform the movement and I fell in love with the process.
In 2013 I discovered the practice of tracking my macros. I have now been following this lifestyle for 6 years and it has changed my life. I used to binge eat and I had a terrible relationship with food. I used to try and restrict myself to only "clean" foods for weeks and then my willpower would break down. I would visit Bulk Barn and purchase the entire candy section. I would feel guilty about it, beat myself up, and then try to calorie restrict with only clean foods again. This was a very bad cycle. When I started tracking my macros, nothing was off limits. I started incorporating all foods into my diet and I'm happier and healthier for it.
My passion for fitness and nutrition led me to the University of Guelph where I majored in Human Kinetics and minored in Nutritional and Nutraceutical Sciences.
